    Senior Living Architecture

    The senior living project in St Ivies was a unique design based on the clients brief. The client approached us because they were having issues with their existing architects, complying to Hornsby council objectives. We took over the project and re-designed the scheme.

    We started with a site analysis to determine the best fit and orientation for the development. We then considered the senior living policy for urban design for infill developments and started looking into the idea of visually expressing the leafy nature of the suburb, through material and form.

    We then twisted the building to achieve great setback aligned to the neighbours, while creating a feature nodal point on the corner of the building. The corner site lead itself to a wrapping solution, with the main entry from the main road.

    The compiles consist of six units – each housing three bedrooms, two bathrooms, open living and dining spaces and two-car spaces. This type of infill development provide the community with a great architectural solution while benefiting the community. The project value is 3.2mil, due to be completed in 2020.
