Tony Maluccio

Director of Dacca Architecture (Founder)
B. Arch [Hons], UNSW
Dip Arch Tech. UNSW
AACA Registered Architect – 9248

Having grown up in a building family, a deep respect for the built form runs through his veins combined with a practical knowledge of how buildings work.

“I always knew I would work in the building industry. My father was a builder, and from a young age I loved nothing more than to go on site with my father and help on the tools. At school, I showed talent in both technical drawing and woodwork and this led to the study of Architecture Technology, followed by my Bachelor of Architecture (Honours) at the University of NSW”. Practical experience combined with the study of both technical and design architecture gives him the understanding and technical knowledge of how to take a building from design concept through to reality.

After a background in the aged care, residential, retail and hospitality sectors, my partner and I started our registered architectural company. At Dacca Architecture I am responsible for the front-end design work and management of execution. Drawing upon my experience, having lead projects such as the award-winning ‘The Quarter’ in Darwin, and many varied hospitality projects.

One of the things I love most about building industry and environment is design and design management. I believe that good design comes from a strong vision, and if you stay true to that, the building will speak for itself.”

Tony prides himself on going above and beyond what a normal architect would do. He sees himself as a design consultant and treats client projects as if they were his own. He understands how to get things built and is strong on time management. “I love the collaboration that comes from the teamwork of taking something from an initial idea through to the final, functioning built form.”

Corinne Maluccio

Designer, Interiors

Corinne Maluccio is an Interior Designer and Decorator with a breadth of experience across the residential, hospitality and retail sectors. Her focus is on concept development and design execution.

Corinne has experience working within two of the largest development companies in Australia throughout her career; AMP Capital and The GPT Group.

“I thoroughly enjoy exploring the concept phase of a design and encouraging its development. Exploring what might be possible whilst in-keeping with project timelines and budget constraints.”

Corinne’s experience in the study of place-making is extremely valuable to the studio as we approach each new project. Each new project brings its own site and, its own sense of history and community.

Identifying opportunities in this crucial phase of each project is vital to achieving a creative outcome which resonates with the site, the community and the client.

Her focus is on exploring the opportunities that innovation in sustainability technologies are creating. We are constantly looking for ways to decrease our ecological footprint without increasing costs or compromising the design in any way. Our studio believes that this technology is the way of the future and enjoys constantly building on our capability in this area.
